Fruits please!

Check out this very interesting post at NPR's food blog, the SALT.

The summary?

Researchers at Cornell's Center for Behavioral Economics in Child Nutrition Programs went to 3 schools and placed fruit in attractive bowls or containers and placed them near the cash register of the cafeteria.  With this simple step there was over 100 percent increase in fruit purchases!

Makes me wonder how this can also translate to the home.  It is worth trying to make fruit accessible and attractive for our youngsters to reach out and grab a healthy snack.  Give it a try, and share your story here:)
